ICDIP 2026
From April 24 to 26,
2026, the 18th International Conference on Digital
Image Processing (ICDIP 2026) was held in Xiamen,
China. Organized by Xiamen University and hosted by
the School of Informatics at Xiamen University, the
conference brought together 150 experts, scholars,
industry representatives, and young researchers from
multiple countries and regions. Adopting a hybrid
model combining online and offline participation,
the conference facilitated in-depth discussions on
core theories and technologies in the field of
digital image processing.

The conference featured four distinguished keynote
speakers: Prof. Jianjun Zhang of Bournemouth
University, UK; Prof. KWONG Sam Tak Wu (IEEE Fellow)
of Lingnan University, Hong Kong, China; Prof. Ran
He (IAPR/IEEE Fellow) of Institute of Automation,
Chinese Academy of Sciences, China and Prof. Lap-Pui Chau
(IEEE Fellow) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic
University, Hong Kong, China. Their presentations covered core areas
such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence,
biometric recognition, and egocentric vision,
delivering a high-caliber academic feast for
attendees.
In addition to the keynote speeches, the conference
also featured outstanding invited presentations from
Assoc. Prof. Boxin Shi, Peking University, China;
Assoc. Prof. Tao Sun, Shenzhen Institutes of
Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences,
China; Assoc. Prof. Ruirui Li, Beijing University of
Chemical Technology, China; Prof. Yue Liu, Beijing
Institute of Technology, China and Prof. Zhengxia
Wang, Hainan University, China. They discussed
cutting-edge topics including medical imaging,
vision models, 3D reconstruction, pathological image
analysis, and video generation. The conference also
organized 14 parallel sessions, where over 100
authors presented their latest research findings.
Topics covered deep learning, generative AI, 3D
Gaussian rendering, virtual staining of pathological
images, cross-modal model test-time adaptation, and
intelligent interpretation of remote sensing
imagery. The sessions provided a comprehensive,
multi-level academic exchange platform for
researchers at various stages of their careers and
across different fields.
